of Sheena Easton released in 1983.


1983年の洋楽ヒットチャートから


UK出身の女性シンガーであるシーナ・イーストンさんといえば・・・

ボクが何となく洋楽に触れ始めた 小学校高学年の頃に聴いて
すんごく印象に残ってるナンバー「Modern Girl」が 真っ先に思い起こされます☆

つうか記憶に残る洋楽ベスト１０では５位以内に入るかもなあぁ？



まぁ シーナさん　（ん？どっかで訊いたような名前？？？）といえば
当時からルックス的に ショートカット＆ワイルドな美貌☆

っつうイメージが強かったですね。

そんな彼女が1983年にリリースし ビルボードのシングルチャートで
最高９位を獲得したのが キュートなエレクトリック・ポップナンバー
「Telefone」です☆

改めて聴くと 彼女の声って
高音域を歌ってても全然 厭味を感じさせませんね☆

まぁ 決して上手いって訳でもないですが
馴染み易い声質をしておられます♪
